This little piece is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone who sees it! It's a small oval vintage dish that is most likely an ashtray since it says "Who burnt our table-cloth?" It's marked Japan on the bottom so it can probably be dated somewhere in the 1940/50's.
It measures about 5-3/4" x 3-7/8" and is in excellent condition...no chips or cracks, a bit of crazing as would be expected. There is a small place on the blue edge where the transfer was pieced (perhaps?) but it's glazed over so I'm assuming it's lived its life that way.
If you need a great conversation starter that will bring a chuckle all round, this will do it! It's a great little collectible!
