This is another lovely piece from the estate of the lady who collected avidly and was able to buy and enjoy beautiful things. This lovely Volupte compact is a great example...and has never been used that I can see. It's in pristine shape.
It measures about 2-7/8" in diameter with the hinge/clasp area measuring 3-l/8". The clasp is prettily done as leaves or feathers. There is the residue of adhesive tape on the bottom which was probably where a label was; I'll try to clean that unobtrusively.
The polished top is done in lovely goldtone 8 point "stars, which is echoed in the interior. It is signed "Volupte USA" on the hinged lid to the powder compartment; the powder puff (unused) is also marked.
This little compact has a lovely weight to it...it's beautiful as a decorative accent perhaps...or better yet...a glamourous accessory for you to use!
